Two of Silicon Valley’s most powerful companies, Oracle and Google, are digging in their heels as they prepare for an upcoming trial.
According to Oracle Google’s famous Android software used for mobile devices breaches its patents that it acquired when it bought Sun Microsystems Inc for $7.3 billion in the year 2010.
The technology at stake is the programming language called Java that has been in existence since the 1990s. Oracle Corp is seeking hundreds of millions in damages and according to news reports there are bleak chances of a settlement before the trail that officially starts on April 16.
